The Family Party

With both kids' birthdays falling so close together, and right after Christmas, it becomes a bit of a balancing act. I don't want them to always feel their birthdays need to be celebrated together, or that we needed to simplify because of Christmas. I also don't want to lose my mind trying to fit in multiple parties in one month.

So, we seem to be working out a balance. One friend party for each kid, along with a joint family party.

For the second year, we decided to host the family party at Happy Joe's. With delicious pizza, a small game room, private party rooms and a low-key atmosphere, it's really perfect for adults and kids. (As in, it's not Chuck E' Cheese and that's a good thing.)
