Crazy Summer...and Fall

Seems like half of 2012 really got away from us. We plunged through our a June filled with travels and kids activities, only to land in a July filled with lots of unknowns. We spent most of the summer looking into some job changes and started out the fall with just that - a new full-time job for Jason, a part-time teaching job for Jason and a part-time ministry job for me. At the same time, we settled Natalie into first grade and Gavin into preschool and a new speech schedule. To say the least, it was overwhelming.

I've missed writing about our family adventures, especially since it's really my best way to process everything and keep a log of our journey together. But I wasn't ready to write yet. There was too much up in the air and too many responsibilities on the home front.

Now, as we're looking into 2013, I'm ready to pick up the laptop again. We're so much more settled and comfortable. The kids are both doing really well in school and Jason's the happiest career-wise than he's been in years. And me? I'm enjoying my church work, giving my magazine writing a rest and so thankful for my time each day with the kids.

I can't wait to see what 2013 will bring us.
