Two-Wheeled Gavin

Gavin learned to ride his bike on two wheels April 28, after just four times out without his training wheels. His lack of fear of falling (he does it all the time running, on in-line skates, etc.) combined with his fierce determination really made the whole process easy.

We just ran with him a few times and then started pushing him off. And one time it just worked. He took off biking!

That's not to say it's been all smooth since. On the next time out, he biked smack-dab into the front of a parked truck, only to do the same thing to a road closed sign a few houses away.

But it doesn't phase him. He's just crazy happy to be on two wheels.
