Our Little Dancing Lion

Natalie performed in her first musical lately and had an amazing time. As soon as she heard our church was doing auditions for a production called "That's So Daniel," she begged me to let her try-out. I was so happy she was interested and had been thinking of suggesting it to her.

She was cast as one of the Big Cats, the lions in the story of Daniel and the lions' den. (Of course, these were adorable first- and second-grade girls, not ferocious lions.)

For a couple months, Natalie and the rest of the cast stayed late after choir rehearsals on Wednesday nights to practice more songs, lines and dances. She came home every night just beaming and excited. She sang the songs around the house, showed us her dance moves and talked about the musical constantly.

They performed April 14 during two worship services, transforming our worship space into a theater and sharing the story of Daniel with everyone in attendance. And they all did an amazing job.

Especially our sweet dancing lion.
