Garden Club: Seed Paper

We love attending Kids Garden Club events at Levi Runion's Garden Center. They always have great activities planned for the kids, though I think Natalie has even more fun finding and playing with their cats that roam the green houses.

Recently, they held a seed paper-making event.

The kids tore up construction paper,

added it with water to a blender

and tossed in a couple packets of flower seeds.

They mixed it up and poured it into cookie cutters on screens.

After pressing the water our, we let them dry on trays.

This spring (if it ever arrives), we'll plant the paper in our garden and watch the flowers grow.

It was a fun, free way to teach our kids more about gardening.
