Montebello Texture Cowl

My friend Stacey recommended French Press Knits patterns to me some time ago. When I checked out her sites on Etsy and Ravelry, I immediately fell in love with this Montebello Texture Cowl. The pattern is so detailed, yet loose and soft. I liked the idea that it can be worn a few different ways too.

I checked with my brother to see if his fiance, Paige, would like a cowl for Christmas and soon we were at the yarn store together picking out yarn. I was so excited to make her something for the first Christmas she celebrated with all of us.

The pattern claims the cowl can be done in one evening. Yeah right, I thought. Not for me.

But it was right! I cast on as soon as I got home and couldn't put the piece down. With size 15 needles it worked up so quickly and I couldn't wait to see the next part of the pattern develop.

I finished it off with a snowflake pin that Paige can move around depending on how she wants to wear the cowl. Or, she can switch it out for any other pin or sew on a button or two.

Merry Christmas, Paige!
