With two very special friends having babies this past summer, I wanted to make something special for them. I finally chose the Baby Sweater from "More Projects for the Community and Family Craft" booklet I have. My mom made one of the sweaters for Natalie when she was born and I loved its details and sweet hood.
I knit both of them in cocoa brown, a really soft worsted yarn that would be gentle on babies skin while also being machine washable. I finished the first one with pink ribbons in April for sweet baby Carmella and another with blue ribbons in July for handsome Myer.
Last minute, I also entered Myer's sweater in the County Fair and it won a blue ribbon! I was so excited.
