Like I mentioned earlier, even the couple of rainy days we had were good for the soul. We found plenty of fun things to do in the cabin or in nearby towns for a little shopping.
One of the first days we baked brownie pops, thanks to an easy kit I found at the store. The kids loved mixing the brownies, making the brownie balls, dipping them and decorating.
Ever the dancers and performers, they put on a few skits for us. (My poor grandparents. My cousins, sister and I did this for hours and hours at the lakes when I was little.)
And naps. Oh, the glorious afternoon naps. We all needed them when we played hard outside, stayed up late fishing and even later at campfires.
