Looks Better to Me
Since getting Gavin's glasses we've noticed an immense change. The day after, as we walked up to the school we've taken ECFE classes at for almost a year, he exclaimed: "There are leaves on the trees. Look at the leaves!"
As we walked inside, he turned to me, confused. "This is a new school?"
A few days later as we walked around the children's department at Herberger's, he said with wonder, "It's so beautiful."
Two days later he began coloring in the lines.
The next day he drew his first person, complete with a party hat.
A few weeks later, he finally learned to regularly catch a ball.
The next week he went to a football scrimmage game with Dad and sister. For Gavin, this was the ultimate test of his new specs.
"They run with the ball? They catch the ball? They tackle?"
Jason says he didn't move in his chair for all two hours, staring hard at the field, watching every move.
Really, it was the first time he actually saw a football game.
And it's only going to get better.
