We’re thrilled to welcome a new niece/cousin to our family. My sister, Nikki, and her husband, Dan, had a beautiful baby girl at 10:45 p.m. Monday, June 1. Ansley Jo weighed a whopping 8 pounds 10 ouches (I mean, ounces) and measured 21 inches. She has beautiful dark, fuzzy hair and delicate features. She’s got a good set of lungs as well! Mom, dad and baby are getting settled at home and the only other time I’ve seen Nikki as happy was her wedding day. What a great week!
We took the kids over to their house yesterday to meet their new cousin. Gavin was pretty interested in being a goofball and wrestling himself on the floor, but Natalie couldn’t get enough of holding Ansley. She gently brushed her cheeks and nose with her fingers, kissed her head and played with her hands. It brought me back to when she held Gavin for the first time.
