Fan and Feather Scarf
In February I signed up for another knitting class, eager to start a new project. This one was for a lace scarf made with a wool and silk yarn. The pattern is called Fan and Feather Scarf, but is more accurately an Old Shale pattern.
The scarf started out great, with a new lace cast on. Other than taking a long time to make much progress (I now know why I do mostly cowls), it continued to go well. Then I discovered I dropped two stitches. I carefully un-knit 12 rows, fixed my mistake and picked up the pace again.
Then, I realized about 2/3 way through my scarf I added an extra row and somehow started knitting the front on the back and back on the front. Argh.
At this point I just ripped row after row out.
But it ended up being a good learning experience. Once I got down to a correct row, I slipped the stitches back on, found my place in the pattern and finally wrapped up the scarf.
After carefully blocking it - all stretched out and pinned on a towel on my family room carpet - it turned out so pretty.
I think I'm keeping this one!

Beautiful! I just love the color of yarn you chose too. :-)
