We lucked out this summer. My grandparents, who live in Florida, decided to drive up north one more summer to get the whole family together. My dad's family is big, loud, fun and they know how to party. When we arrived - after a six-hour car drive - the beer was flowing, the pig was roasting and there were plenty of hugs to go around. Friends, family and family's family all enjoyed the afternoon and evening together. We stuck around for Sunday too before heading back home, already missing everyone.
We got the great-grandkids together for the first time and couldn't resist a photo with Great Grandma BeBe and Great Grandpa Jim.
Gavin played football with his uncle and cousins.
Cousins jumped on the trampoline.

And Daddy did too.
We boated, floated, splashed, chased, chatted, relaxed and ate too.

We even stayed at a really nice hotel with room for all of us.
Ha! We just need to Photoshop little sleeping Ansley in there.
As Grandpa said to us Sunday morning during brunch, "We really do have a wonderful family." Thanks for the great memories everyone!
