I’m posting my favorite products and programs because they’re just that – my favorites. I'm not being compensated by anyone. Shame though.
During summer swim lessons, we stumbled across our favorite summer kid product: the Aqua Jogger Junior, or as we like to call them Swimmy Belts. Our swim instructors used them on the kids during lessons to help them feel safe and comfortable in the water, as well as practice floating and some basic strokes.
I found the belts online at www.recsupply.com and ordered up a couple, thinking we'd at least use them a few times during the summer. I was wrong. We used them ALL the time - lakes, beaches, hotel pools, wading pools, state park pool, etc. Instead of stuffing them in life jackets (except for boat and tube rides), we used the belts.
The kids loved them - they're way less bulky than life vests and don't bunch up around their necks. The belts also afford a greater range of arm motion, making it easier for kids to practice swimming.
As parents we loved them because we knew they were keeping our kids safe and face-up in the water, while giving them excellent opportunities for strengthening their swimming skills. They're easy to tote to the pool and dry quickly. They hold up to all of the heat, water and play. And because they're adjustable, they'll fit the entire time our kids will need them.
What's not to love about something so helpful?
