Happy Holidays

This Christmas was everything I'd hoped it would be. After such a stressful summer and fall, with our neighborhood situation, my sights were set on celebrating Christmas in our new home, surrounded by family and a sense of calm and peace. And that's exactly what we had.

With my side of the family over Christmas eve, we gathered downstairs around the fire and tree. The kids played and opened gifts, we sipped cider and munched on meatballs, veggies, fruit, bread and kuchen.

Christmas day we headed to Jason's side of the family, for a delicious steak dinner, more gifts, a movie and some pumpkin pie. We sang happy birthday to Jesus, talked for hours and stayed the night.

This is what holidays are all about.

He loved sitting in the middle of the holiday fun.

One of Natalie's favorite presents was the
kid digital camera from Auntie Nikki and Uncle Dan.

Auntie Nikki and Natalie Jo, cute as can be.
