We had a wonderful Christmas weekend with our families. Nikki and Dan hosted Christmas Eve at their new house, with delicious lasagna, lots of treats and a beautiful Christmas tree in their living room. All three kids were so well behaved and just radiated utter joy. I loved watching them open presents and jump for joy with each gift.
We hurried off to church that afternoon for a Christmas Eve service. Natalie sang with the Minims choir and did a beautiful job. My eyes brim with tears each time I watch her perform - course, any little child singing usually makes me choke up a bit.
Jason's parents hosted Christmas day, treating us to a full turkey dinner and a wonderful time opening presents with the kids. Skipping their nap for the second day in a row, I didn't expect the kids to hold up as well as they did. They handled all of the fun so well, though they crashed hard that evening.
I'm so thankful for family - our little one in our home and our extended family which surrounds us in our community. I'm thankful for a weekend of togetherness. I'm thankful for a memorable Christmas.
