I couldn’t take one more time of Natalie sweetly batting her big blue eyes and softly asking, “Mommy, when are you going to paint my room pink?”
And she had a point. We moved her into the guest room/former office back in March and hadn’t done much to “girl” up the room. She had new curtains, a comforter and a princess castle rug, but the walls were still brown and a harsh traditional florescent light blared from the ceiling.
So, with the help of a friend from work and my sister, we went all out. I bought the brightest hot pink paint Menard’s could mix for me. (They actually couldn’t color-match the accent color on her comforter because it was too bright!). I also grabbed a gallon of the softest pink paint I could find. We picked an accent wall and set to work. We also had a friend install a new dome light fixture and framed a giant poster of Natalie and Ariel at Disney World.
The results?
Pinkerful! Pinkalicious! Pinktastic!
