I’m trying to get better about letting people know when something has gone well or I’ve received exceptional customer service. I absolutely had to send this e-mail after seeing a local musical recently:
Dear Straw Hat Players,
I wanted to write a quick note of gratitude for two of your actors performing in Suessical. I attended with my husband, mother-in-law and 3-year-old daughter who’s a huge Dr. Suess fan. She was in awe of your entire production, sitting perfectly still in her chair with her eyes wide and jaw dropped the entire time. After the production, I walked her through the cast line. She wanted to meet Maisey and Horton, her favorite characters. The actress playing Maisey knelt down, held my daughter’s hand and thanked her for coming. The young man who played Horton also approached my daughter and talked with her for a few minutes. It seems like a simple gesture, but for a young girl who’s enthralled with the stage and in love with the magical world of books and productions, it is something she’ll remember for years. And as a mother, that’s about all I can ask for.
So, thank you.
