Little Talker

Gavin’s a talking machine these days, jabbing away about all kinds of things. Much of the time, we’re still not sure of the topic, but he definitely is. He’s an animated talker, with his hands flying, lots of belly laughs and even some dancing. It hits new levels in the car when he sings along to music, does interpretive dance moves with his hands and cracks himself up by sticking his tongue in and out like a frog.

But in all seriousness, he’s actually adding some understandable vocab too. He signs more, done, please, book, puppy, lotion. He’s also saying mama, dada, Nanny (for Natalie), dog, banana, more, milk, bird, go, doggy bed (ask Jason about that one), bye, hi. He’s so proud of himself when we understand him too – bright eyes, clapping, smiling.

I can feel the language explosion is right around the corner. I just can’t wait until he can start combining words and letting us into his little world more. He’s such a funny, sweet little man – I have a feeling he has some important things to say.
