Beginner Socks

Back in July I signed up for a beginners sock class at Prairie Yarns. I'd wanted to try socks for some time and this was just the encouragement I needed to get started. This particular pair was knit with much heavier yarn and larger needles than typically used for socks, so it was the ideal starter project.

Summer was especially busy, so it wasn't until fall that I finally finished the first sock. Then, as I realized this would be the perfect gift for my mother (who loves warm socks and the color orange), I picked the project up again in November to complete the second sock.

The pattern was very easy to follow and I'm thrilled with how they turned out.
