When you have to tell a toddler over and over and over to do something (or not do something), you start to think she's not listening. Then you hear her say things straight out of your own mouth.
1. Jason following Natalie down the hall to put her to bed.
Jason: Natalie, you just need to ...
Natalie: chill.
2. Natalie walking into the house, talking about something I couldn't understand.
Natalie: That's just crazy!
3. Natalie snuggling on the bed while I'm nursing Gavin, who just did a loud toot.
Me: What was that?
Natalie: From the butt! (pointing at poor Gavi) But not my butt! (pointing to herself)
